Paul Webley

Paul Webley graduated with a Master in Science Chemical Engineering from the University of Natal, South Africa in 1985. The following year he commenced studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), graduating with a PhD in Chemical Engineering in 1989. Webley worked as Assistant Professor and Director at MIT School of Chemical Engineering from 1990 to 1992.

For the next four years, he worked in industry at Air Products and Chemicals Inc, Allentown, Pennsylvania as a senior process research and development engineer. In 2003 Webley joined the Department of Chemical Engineering at Monash University, starting as a Senior Lecturer, and moving up to Reader then Professor in 2008. Webley’s research interests include carbon capture and storage as well as ways of minimising power plant emissions. Paul Webley is also the leader of the Adsorption Research Group at Monash.
