Greg Egan

Greg Egan graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering, specialising in Computer Engineering from RMIT in 1975, before heading to the UK where he gained a PhD from Victoria University of Manchester in 1979. Egan joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering at Monash in 1995 as a Professor and Head of the Department. During his career, Egan has taught and researched at a number of internationally recognised universities, including: the University of Colorado, Fort Collins; Trinity College, Dublin; National Supercomputing Centre, Barcelona; Imperial College, London and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

During his time at Monash, Egan was also Director of the Centre for Telecommunications and Information Engineering.
