Nestadt Consulting Prize

Nestadt Consulting Pty Ltd offers an annual prize of $1000 to student(s) developing the best industrial project(s) in subject pairs ENC4431/4432 (Year 2000) or IND4309/4310 (Year 2001 on). The prize will be for the project(s) showing the best understanding of the combination of technical, people and business issues in the study of a business environment. Students must demonstrate initiative, effective use of industrial engineering and engineering management tools, a mature understanding of businesses studied and excellent report writing and presentation skills. The projects to be considered will be nominated by the subject leader to a panel consisting of the subject leader, Deputy Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and a nominee of Nestadt Consulting. The maximum total value of the prize or prizes in any one year is $1000. The prize or prizes are to be awarded to the best work considering both subjects. The prize or prizes may be awarded to a single student or to more than one student at the discretion of the judging panel. For students involved in a group project, the panel may decide not to award the prize to one or more students in the group if there is evidence that those students did not contribute adequately to the final outcome. The panel may decide not to award the prize if no project meets the criteria.
